Xbox One vs the PS4 - who won E3's gaming war?

The two giants were worlds apart. Microsoft’s hard-nosed business approach played totally into the hands of Sony’s consumer-friendly flattery.

Mismanaging issues such as used games and backwards-compatible was a real PR blunder from Microsoft.
While Sony cleverly said they “support used games”, that refers to first- and second-party publishers, meaning third-party titles may be different – just as is the case on the Xbox One.

The announcement that used games will be compatible on the PS4 caused a huge ovation, with supposedly professional games journalists whooping in joy at the news.

It was all part of a brilliantly stage-managed conference from Sony. Microsoft will be rueing their smug tone and underestimating the consumer.
